What’s Up? I’m Anne, a pop culture addict, total misfit with a passion for helping people reach their potential.
Hi, I'm Anne!
I am a business strategy coach here to help female communicators and entrepreneurs learn to think like a business so they can inspire like a boss. I help my clients prioritize all their ideas, break toxic thought patterns, and develop their signature offer so they can build a brand and business that is both inspirational and profitable.
I stepped into my passionate purpose because for a long time I was a dreamer who was told over and over that I couldn’t do it - I wanted to prove to myself that I can create a business I love that serves others and helps women feel like they are reaching their full potential.
I’m in my second act after raising 3 kids and I want to show my own adult children that I do something meaningful, that makes a difference to people, and that it’s never too late to chase your dreams.
I love to believe in people and help them believe in themselves.
I keep having this recurring thought where I am meeting God in Heaven one day, waiting for him to give me a big, warm welcome when he says, “I’m curious, Anne. Why did you spend your whole life ignoring the gifts and talents I gave you?”
Oof. I do not want to have that conversation.
I’ve spent a lot of time in my life chasing perfectionism, people-pleasing, and avoiding criticism. Know what it got me? A couple of auto-immune diseases and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. My great plan for success and happiness wasn’t so great.
I wondered what life would be like if I began leaning into my strengths and decided to give it a try.
What if instead of worrying about what people think, I just did my thing and trusted that the right people would show up?
What if instead of trying to be perfect, I let the real me out, acne and all?
What if instead of striving to get to the top of someone else’s mountain, I started climbing my own?
When I was a little girl, all of my friends loved to play ‘school.’ I played ‘business.’ I was told that when my mom would take me to the grocery store, I would pick up things like cereal and belt out their jingles at the top of my lungs.
It came as no surprise that I got a degree in Advertising and went into corporate banking. On one occasion, I met the CEO of the bank and I told him squarely that I was coming for his job. True story. He laughed at my gumption and told me to come on, then.
I was doing really well but some old insecurity demons came knocking and self-doubt flared up like hemorrhoids. Old voices, experiences, and trauma whispered over and over that I couldn’t do it.
I quit my banking job and became a stay-at-home mom. Friends, I loved being with my kids but the truth is that I was using my kids as an excuse to NOT step into my purpose. I knew what I was doing, but I felt helpless to change it.
I missed the energy and strategizing of business and when my kids were too old to hide behind, I went back to work full-time and have been using my business knowledge in to encourage and teach women to make the most of their skills and passions.
That’s when I really understood how much pressure women put on themselves and how they let doubts and fears hold them back.
It made me angry to think about how much the world was missing from these smart, talented women, and how much suffering these women were enduring needlessly. I became passionate about changing our thoughts so we can chase our dreams and reach our potential.
I spent years changing my negative thought habits and learning how to believe in and trust myself. It was hard work, but worth every damn second. And when I paired my natural talents with my passion, Swayology was born.
SWAYOLOGY IS ABOUT THE ART OF PERSUASION. IT’S ABOUT PERSUADING YOURSELF THAT YOU ARE MORE THAN ENOUGH AND PERSUADING OTHERS WITH YOUR IDEA OR VISION. IT’S ABOUT LEANING INTO YOUR PASSION AND USING YOUR SKILLS TO REACH YOUR POTENTIAL AND CHANGE THE WORLD.
Your dream is important and you are literally the only one who can get through to some people who can’t or won’t listen until you share it in your unique way.
I am now using my love of business and my marketing skills to coach ambitious entrepreneurs who are sick of holding back and ready to reach their potential. It’s my absolute passion!
I will tell you the gut-honest truth, simplify ideas, problem-solve, and probably sing a bunch of the Hamilton musical to you. I am sassy and sarcastic and I believe that if it’s not fun, it’s not worth doing. I am madly in love with Jesus, but I also swear a lot and love a good margarita. I am all this and a million more things and I AM NOT SORRY.
We just don’t have time to wimp out on ourselves, friend.
That’s why you are here, isn’t it?
Because you are sick and tired of being sick and tired. It’s high time you start playing a bigger game. I want to help you reach your full potential and then I want to celebrate with you! I’m thinking dancing….but I’m open to suggestions.
I can hardly wait to start reminding you about what a badass you already are!
Welcome, friend. We are going to have a lot of fun together.
“Anne Watson is one of the most honest, genuine writers I know. She’s kind but never syrupy, and her strength lies in her ability to build women up and motivate them to walk boldly and realize their true strength. I love her because she’s one hundred percent herself at all times and offers a safe haven for the women around her to explore who they are and what they think.”
